School Visit

I just wanted to share a fantastic school visit I had. The school is funded by Christian Child Fund and also sponsored by an Australian sponsor.

They have a chook house which is funded but means that the school can grow their own chickens and sell them to fundraise for the school. The dream corner is also great a place full of resources that have been donated and the children get free play to develop their skills. The dream corner is also sorted into subject areas and amazingly the children put all the toys back where they get them from.

This school will lose its sponsorship in the next few years (it has been sponsored since 1985) as CCF phases out the funding. They have worked hard to build initiatives to assist the school to support themselves, but the school is looking for a new sponsor. It is difficult because the school still needs a sponsor but it also asks the question of when does the support become sustainable?
