It has been so hot lately that the cat isn’t even lying with the kittens. Lamin (the guy who sits at the gate to my compound – we don’t know why, he is a young guy with a wife and baby, he just seems to do nothing) tells me that this is the hottest year they have had – it is not normally as hot as it has been this month.
